Gmail App Setup
Use the Gmail app on your phone with your custom email address.

Open the Gmail app
Open the Gmail app on your iPhone or Android.

Add account
Tap your profile picture (top right).
Tap Add another account.

Select "Other"
Do NOT select Google. Select Other (IMAP).
If you select Google, it will try to add a Gmail account, not your custom email.

Enter your email address
Type your full email address and tap Next.

Select IMAP
Select IMAP when asked for the account type.

Enter your password
Type your email password and tap Next.

Incoming server settings

Finish
Set your display name and tap Next.
Your custom email is now available in the Gmail app alongside any Gmail accounts.
You can switch between accounts by tapping your profile picture.

Trouble sending? Try the alternative SMTP port
If port 465 is blocked by your network (some corporate or hotel Wi-Fi networks block it), use these alternative outgoing settings:
Alternative: Port 587 with STARTTLS security and PLAIN authentication. All other settings remain the same.

Send a test email to make sure everything is working.
